Ocean freight consolidation operation process:

 

  1. Determine the name, volume, weight, quantity, and customs code of the goods;
  2. The shipper is responsible for delivering the goods to our designated warehouse (we can arrange for door-to-door pickup);
  3. After arranging the goods in the warehouse, our company will send the storage data to the customer for confirmation.
  4. Arrange customs clearance and container loading.
  5. Transport the goods to the designated destination port.

 

What customs clearance documents are required for sea freight

 

The bill of lading clears sea freight LCL, and the required documents vary depending on the products. This can be confirmed with the importer. Usually, the export of electrified products requires CE certification. Booking requires providing a booking form, packing list, and invoice. If the customer has customs declaration documents, they need to provide the product name and customs code.

FCL is cleared by container, and customers need to provide cargo information (such as packing list, invoice, etc.), while our company provides a bill of lading. Some countries also require individuals to provide their tax ID and company business license for customs clearance. If the customer has customs declaration documents, they need to provide the product name and customs code. Depending on the type of goods, there may be different customs clearance times. Generally, the clearance time is 3-5 working days.

  1. Be sure to remember the container number and seal number when loading the container.
  2. After returning to the container, request the updated volume and weighing weight from the warehouse from the driver. Some docks have strict requirements and must be based on their actual measurements.
  3. After the copy of the bill of lading is issued, it should be checked immediately. If you find any problems, correct them immediately and confirm and present the original bill of lading.
  4. Pay attention to the arrival time of the goods at the port, communicate with the shipowner and customs broker in advance, prepare the necessary documents in advance, and avoid demurrage, port delay, delayed reporting, and late fees.

Matters needing attention:

 

  1. You should palletize heavy goods, pack fragile items in wooden boxes, and pack liquid goods in wooden boxes to prevent leakage.
  2. You cannot mix some dangerous goods.
